Collie Adopts Adorable Orphaned Baby Fox

I have always prided myself on having a big heart and an open home. Any friend or family member who needs a place to crash knows they can give me a call. I’m constantly on the lookout for the opportunity to do something nice for someone else.

And I’m not alone in this. I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by people doing kind things for one another, like the grocery store employee who assisted an elderly man with his shoelace, or the football team that helped a special needs classmate score a touchdown. But I never thought that our pets might have hearts that are just as big as their owners’. And when I saw what this collie did, I absolutely couldn’t believe it.

The Schmaing Family’s collie, Ziva, was already friends with an unlikely ally: the family cat Leopold. But now the Schmaings have brought a new baby wild animal into their home. Ziva’s reaction and these photos of what transpired are absolutely priceless.
