If you love reality TV talent contests, then you know that some of the best performances on the show come from the most surprising auditions.

When it comes to shows like Britain’s Got Talent, the old saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” almost always seems to come true. Just take a look at this 14-year-old blonde boy who does a mind-blowing rendition of a Whitney Houston classic. You truly never know what to expect on the stage!

You can easily say the same for the following group, known as Collabro. When five guys walk on the Britain’s Got Talent stage, Simon, who formed the insanely popular boy band One Direction on the show in 2010, definitely had his doubts. It seems like all the judges expected some cheesy pop sound out of the guys, who only met about a month before their audition.

When the guy all the way to the left started singing “Stars” from Les Misérables, I was just as stunned as the judges. It’s not everyday that you see 5 young guys who all sound like classically trained performers. It was like they’ve been performing together forever.
