There’s a lot we can learn from our elephants friends.
In fact, the old chestnut “an elephant never forgets” may not be too far from the truth.
Their excellent memories help these highly social animals survive in groups, remember water and food sources during droughts, and be wary of who is friend and who is foe.
Scientists also believe that elephants experience a wide range of complex emotions not unlike our own, including joy, grief, love, anger, and compassion.
They’ve been known to risk their lives for others, befriend other species, and even hold funerals to collectively mourn the loss of loved ones.
You don’t have to be an older elephant to pass on some wisdom, however, as baby elephants seem to understand of life’s best kept secrets!
