Police Officer Records Himself Rapping To Send A Serious Message

In the midst of the controversy surrounding the nation’s police department, one officer decided to take matters into his own hands in the form of a video.

Unlike the officer from Dover, DE, who was caught hilariously lip-synching to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”in his car, the one below is attempting to send a serious message to those who distrust the police.

The police officer, whose nametag reads Gordon, tackles several issues that have been a constant battle in society. Often, these topics overshadow the positive work many officers do, like the one who risked his life to save a man from a burning car.

“You sit there and call me a racist, and that I don’t have the right to live / But I’m not racist to the faces that I meet on a daily basis,” the officer raps while sitting in his car. “I just want to protect all, no matter what your race is.”

He went on to defend the police department speaking about the dangers he believes cops face while on duty. He also pointed out times officers come to people’s rescue.
