No One Came To Her Autistic Son’s Birthday, Then Mom Posted THIS On Facebook…OMG!

Ashley Buratti of St. Cloud, FL was understandably torn to pieces when not one child she had invited to her son’s sixth birthday party showed up with their parents.

Can you imagine? The young mother invited all 16 of her son’s classmates to the party and was devastated when the day came and she had to explain to her son, Glenn, who has autism, where his “friends” from school were. Ashley felt she had failed her son, who was so heartbroken that he refused to smile.

That’s when Ashley wrote a Facebook status stating how her heart was breaking for her disabled son. She didn’t expect anything to come of it, but almost immediately, complete strangers responded — and before she knew it, kids and parents from the community started showing up at her door with gifts.

Ashley’s post even made its way to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, who sent a very special gift: a helicopter fly-over. “One of our friends put him up on their shoulders and Glenn was smiling the whole time and waved. It was amazing,” Ashley told Local 6 News in Orlando.

What started out as a nightmare for any parent turned into a complete blessing in disguise. Hopefully some of these kind community members will become Glenn’s true friends and stick around for his seventh birthday!

Don’t you think Glenn’s classmate’s parents should be ashamed of themselves? Please SHARE to let us know what you think!
