Bus Driver Hailed A Hero For Stopping A Couple Of Gunmen At School

It started off as a normal morning for North Carolina school bus driver Alice Bradley. She pulled into the school parking lot to retrieve her bus hours before school began. Moments later, Alice noticed a strange couple standing in the parking lot.

The male started to point a gun at her.

Instead of allowing herself to be crippled by fear, Alice tapped into her quick-thinking skills and insane amount of courage. She stepped on the gas and floored her car towards him, sending the couple running for cover.

After being grabbed by authorities, the pair admitted that they were armed with multiple guns, and were indeed planning to carry out a “massacre” at the school. Macon County Sheriff Robert Holland told the Citizen Times: “One of the individuals made the statement that if it was God’s will to shoot children and teachers, and if the other suspect wanted the suspect to do so, they would have proceeded to start shooting children and teachers.”

Grateful parents, her entire community, and now the country at large is hailing Alice a hero for her bravery and selflessness. “I thought of the kids,” she told WLOS. “I was real nervous. I always thought I’ve been a tough woman but this really scared me. It did.”

She sounds pretty darn tough to me.

The couple currently faces felony charges, including attempted murder.
