Mother And Son Do A Hilarious Dance Routine In Their Living Room

The unfortunate fate of any good pop song is that it ultimately loses its luster. I think it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that Korean K-Pop singer Psy’s 2012 smash hit “Gangnam Style” falls into this category. After all, any catchy song that gets played ad nauseam grows weary on its listeners rather quickly. Eventually though, enough time passes where the song not only becomes tolerable again, but it’s actually rather fun.

In this instance, we see a video of a man getting ready to break it down “Gangnam Style” in his living room. Never one to be shown up by her offspring, his mother creeps in from the back room to join in on the action before the song really gets going. Their synchronized routine had me cracking up, and all I could do was imagine what would happen if I even proposed such a thing to my mother. These two even got to perform on Ellen! This young man is lucky to have such a fun and supportive mom by his side. I’d like to think his entire upbringing was as much fun as this video was.
Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has been viewed so many times that it actually broke YouTube’s counter after reaching 2,154,200,908 views. That’s billion with a “b,” if you’re scoring at home. His song also put him in the Guinness Book of World Records for receiving the most “likes” of any YouTube video in history. What you may not know is that this wasn’t Psy’s first taste of music glory. “Gangnam Style” was released off of his 6th studio album and was his 18th released single. Of course, none of his previous singles had the cultural impact “Gangnam Style” did, nor have any of them since.
